After a long holding winter in the mitten, it’s time for a season shift. During winter we tend to tuck in and hibernate. Now that spring has sprung its time to take hold and open these bodies back up! What better way to take advantage of the season shift than with a lovely Yin Yoga Grounding Workshop!
We will explore how to ground down, find balance with gratitude, and thrive in during this energetic time of year. It’s the perfect complimentary practice to more yang styles of yoga, incredibly beneficial to balance out a weight lifting/ strength and conditioning regimen or even as an antidote to a busy or stressful lifestyle. You’ll dive deeper into the fundamentals of yin yoga, where poses are held for longer periods of time to stretch the layers of connective tissue.
You’ll learn how yin yoga complements a dynamic or ‘yang’ yoga practice and an active lifestyle and how to set up poses to suit the individual needs of your body. Poses will be combined with hand mudras and visualizations to maximize the grounding effects of the practice.
The workshop will conclude with a seated meditation allowing you to slow down, breathe and reflect on what you are grateful for. You will leave with knowledge of building a home mini yin practice you can continue to use each and every day. All levels welcome.
