Staying Motivated

Ever feel like you want something so bad but it just seems impossible to get to once you’ve started and then the motivation of why you started in the first place just falls to the way side? I’ve been there. We all have. It’s part of the process. So now it’s time to get real. Be it BIG or be it small they are each just as important as the next if we started in the first place. Here’s what I do to get myself back on track no matter what type of goal I’m going after. First things first…ASK WHY!? What made you start this journey towards this goal in the first place? If it was something truly putting your energy into then truly you should keep going after the intention. If you’re not in it to win it, there really is no point in going further. If you aren’t being real with yourself to start then this is a good time to switch gears. Why DID you start the process?.... read more at www.michelleklingleryoga.com

Why DID you start the process?

Take Action!

Now that you remember your “WHY” for starting, begin again. Sure if it were that easy you wouldn’t be unmotivated to keep going right? :) I know. So let’s spice it up! Find something new to bring life back into reaching your final destination. If I feel uninspired I take myself on an adventure and that in itself allows me to reboot and restart.  No matter what your goal sometimes forgetting about it momentarily for a weekend get away perhaps, allows you to come back full force with commitment.

Speaking of commitment. Re-commit!

Yes. Out loud. Say you will and you want to!! Remember what you feed survives and what you don’t dies. If you’re feeding the good then the good will conquer all and likewise with the bad. So if you’re really finding the negative in the situation…let’s take a harder look at step one and ask why? However, if you can keep it positive write it down and keep it with you!

Bring in the Troops!

The more people you tell about your goals and dreams, the more likely you’ll stay committed. You’ll have cheerleaders to keep you motivated and in check all the time.  You’ll know you can because you started in the first place!  Anything you truly put your heart and mind into You CAN and you WILL Achieve!!

Journaling Action

Keep going! When you have a good day write it down and why.  When you have a rough day, as we all do, write it down and why. It’s all part of the process. Put as much effort into the good as the tough though. I’ve noticed as I do this part of the process I can look back and use this as another source to re-ignite that motivation flame.

Smile on!

It’s all part of the journey. Enjoy the process. Remember to stop. Breathe. Smile. You’ve totally got this! All great things take time. As we do in the asana/posing practice of yoga we do with everything else and that is to find the comfort in the discomfort. It’s not always easy, great things never are, but it sure will be extraordinary once accomplished!

Now go out and make those dreams turn into goals accomplished!!!

I believe in you and so should YOU!!

Namaste (:
